Beach Club in Parksville nominated for national excellence award

As reported in the Oceanside Star, The Beach Club Resort has been named one of three national finalists for the Tourism Industry Association of Canada's New Business of the Year at the National Awards for Tourism Excellence 2009.
The New Business of the Year Award nomination recognizes The Beach Club Resort's success during its first year as the newest luxury resort on Vancouver Island.
Making innovative business decisions during a slow tourism year, the resort became a standout in their industry in its first year in operation....
Award finalists represent the people, places, organizations and events across the country that offer a superior tourism experience to Canadian travelers each year.
The Beach Club Resort opened in June of 2008 in Parksville on the former site of the historic Island Hall Resort. The $50-million development was built by Sandcastle Holdings Ltd., of Victoria, owned by McAdams family.
